The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a family desert photoshoot in Dubai, a beautiful mix of golden sunlight and a cool breeze that sets the tone for capturing the best moments. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a family of four for a desert session that was nothing sort of magical.
From the moment they had arrived, we could feel the excitement in the air. We chose the best spot for desert in Al Qudra road. We scheduled the time between 3pm-5pm , which is the best time to make the most of the soft, flattering light during the golden hour.
Our session began with the stars of the show, the kids. An elder brother and his younger sister, they were the perfect blend of sibling love and playful mischief. Such affectionate moments were created by the brother who always tried to keep her safe and the sister who knew how to pose. One particularly special shot showed the brother gently helping his sister walk across the soft sand, a moment that spoke volumes about their connection.
To make the experience more engaging, we brought along a few props for the kids. A teddy bear for the little one, a guitar, a Christmas hat and bubbles. The younger sister’s excitement over holding the teddy bear and blowing bubbles while striking adorable poses melted everyone’s hearts, while the brother looked effortlessly cool with his guitar. The props truly brought an extra layer of charm to the session.

Wear comfortable clothes: Go for light, neutral-colored outfits to blend with desert’s golden tones. Flowy dresses for mommy, and casual linen for dad works well!
Essentials: Carry sun hats, sunglasses, wear minimal jewellery, and makeup in case of touch up.
With young kids a snack or treat keeps them motivated. Also, water to stay hydrated is ideal for all during the shoot.

After the kids stole the show, it was time for the parents to share their moment. We encouraged the couple to kiss, brush off their camera shyness, and embrace the moment. The kids, being the comedians they are, hilariously covered their eyes, which turned into one of the cutest candid shots of the session.
Next, the mother and daughter stepped into the frame. From playful twirls in the sand to quiet moments of shared laughter and hugs, each click captured the essence of their unique bond.
Then came the mother and her son’s turn. Their session was a beautiful reminder of the unique bond between a mother and her boy-a relationship filled with comfort and strength.
Finally, it was time for the father and daughter duo. The little girl’s eyes lit up every time she looked at her dad, creating the kind of pure joy that’s impossible to stage. From their hearty laughs to tender hugs, the moments we captured reflected the irreplaceable bond they share, one that truly exemplifies the saying, “A father is his daughter’s first love.”
